In the world cement production "Araratcement" CJSC has its first-class place, which began its operation since 1993 by the wet method of production. The fast rate of development in construction dictated increase of cement production volumes and for this reason the Research Institute "Yujgiprocement" proces-sed a project for the expansion of Ararat Cement Plant , accor-ding to which the new technological line of cement production in dry method was constructed in 1983-1990 with 1.200.000 ton productive capacity annually with dry method cement producing technologies.
In 1990 NTL gave its first product. In 1998 "Araratcement" company was in subordination of the Ministry of Building Materials Industry of the Republic of Armenia and worked with 7-10%-of its capacity. In 2002 "Araratcement" company was privatized by Concern "Multi Group". Due to great volume investments done after the privatization "Araratcement" CJSC was equipped with modern technologies and granted ISO-2001-2002 International certificate. At present the investments are go on for raising the productive capacity up to the planned. "Araratcement" CJSC is an economical, modern system of cement production based on dry method, and based on modern technique and technology and corresponds to the international norms of industry development. Such architectural buildings have been built with cement produced by "Araratcement" CJSC, as the Sport - Concert Complex of Yerevan, Palace of Youths, "Ayrarat" cinema, Yerevan Underground, "Hrazdan" stadium, "The Northern" avenue and others. Our product has a great demand in the whole market of Georgia, and it is exported also in Iran, Iraq. A few European companies are looking for cooperation possibilities for gaining our product.
