Armavir Gasmash Ltd, in past Hoktemberyan Experimental Factory of gas equipment, was established in 1970 with the aim to manufacture domestic gas appliances.
At present the territory of the factory, where the main premises are located, are about 5.5 hectares and 15800 m2 out of them are the production premises. The infrastructure of the factory is well developed. The total number of employees is 92.
The company was entered into the structure of ArmRusgasprom closed joint-stock company from 1 of July 1999. Today the company's production activity is organized at the mechanical-assembling workshop where a large range of specific industrial gas metering equipment is being manufactured, i.e. gas regulatory stations, panels of gas regulators, various assembly units for domestic gas meters.
Since of 1 January 2001 a special gas meters service center (SGSC) in the company was established, which provides with services of calibration, verification and repair of industrial and domestic gas meters. The SGSC is equipped with the special test benches that allow making calibration and testing for all types of industrial and domestic gas meters used in Armenia with the range of flow metering from 0.02 up to 4000 m3/h. The average daily output of SGSC is 500 domestic and 5 industrial gas meters. The rotation and turbine gas meters of German and Slovak production are being used in SGSC as sample means for metering.
According to the relevant Government Decree, that obliges to make mandatory certification of the gas equipment imported to the Republic of Armenia and in order to ensure necessary testing procedures, a special testing laboratory of the gas equipment in the company has been established. A number of experienced and high-skilled staff is working currently in the laboratory and laboratory itself is well equipped with relevant materials, means of communication and testing devises.
