In the family of lamp producers the "Grand Sun" Company seriously declares about itself. Our aim is much more evident: to say our word in the world of lighting technology, restore lost market and walk ahead with positive steps. We can do it, as the "Grand Sun" Company ("Grand Sun", the former "Luis" Productive Union, was established in 1951 in Yerevan) has a half-century history in the lamp production.
All the formulated tasks are realizable thanks to the availability of production cycle and strategies including all the spheres of activities, elaboration of the sources of light, utilization of the pro-restive technologies, multi-stage quality control, selection of the suppliers of raw and materials, professional marketing to serve the consumers blamelessly.
In his own politics the Company has a clear aim: to be worthy of the "New Millennium Award" thanks to its qualified production.

The "Luis" enterprise, established in 1951 was one of the outstanding enterprises in lighting industry in the Soviet Republics, providing 15% of the sales volume of different lamp modifications in the markets of the Soviet Union. "Luis" exported its products into the markets of more than 40 countries of the world. Being a scientific-technical center of new sources of light, "Luis" also produced special purpose lamps, including lamps for military - industrial complex.
Political and economical crisis together with social and financial problems brought to strong abridgement of productive volumes. In 1994-97 a collapse happened - the State factory wholly stopped.
Foreign "experts" and the authorities of International Financial Institutions characterized the enterprise in a word "dead dinosaur". The Government was confronted with a monosemantic solution - to liquidate lighting production in Armenia as an independent sphere of economy.
In December 2000 the State status of the enterprise changed. "Grand Holding" sent a group of managers, having the exact plan of the factory's revival, returning the previous positions in the local market and dimensioned progress in the foreign one.
