"Mika-Cemen" CJSC was foun-ded in 2001 after privatization of Hrazdan cement plant.
The company produces construction portlandcement types M-400 and M-500, special cement: road portlandcement and sulfate-resistant portlandcement, clinker types M-500, M-550 and M-600. It also produces products on base of the cement as pumice blocks and road slabs of miscellaneous deskside. Products differ with high quality and competitive ability.
The works have more than a thirty years history. It was put into operation as a structural subdivision of Hrazdan mining combine in 1970; the enterprise was restructured into the Hrazdan cement works. The production of the Hrazdan works was widely used at all the significant building cites in the Republic of Armenia. Now the production exports to Iran and Georgia.
Now, the main potential of the enterprise is its staff, specialists of high qualification and competent engineering personnel. The regular large capital investments into the main production means reconstruction and new technological solutions allowed to upgrade the released production and to cut sharply the prime cost of cement. So, one can say, that Mika - Cement is an example of Armenia's future.
It is the obvious that the progressing process of bringing the enterprise to the European standards could not but touch on the production standards. Very much has be done for the improvement of the territory and the upgrading of the sanitary standards. The top administration focuses on intraplant ethics of labour-management relations and the service of clients.
The quality, functionality, safety, profitability; all these peculiarities are an integral part of the production's processing cycle. The physical and mental contribution of the staff influences on a high efficiency of the enterprises (the indexes are above averages) and on the high quality of the services provided by the company. At this, the employees of the company are a guarantor for the trademark of "Made at Mika-Cement". The good reviews of purchasers and business partners testify to the correctness of the chosen organizational-technical strategy of production.
The company consists of diffe-rent production departments. The raw material department is equipped with four pipe mills 3,2x15m.The burning department is equipped with tow rotary calcining furnaces 5x185m,the total capacity of which is 140 t\hour clinker. It is planned to make large investments into the modernization of the second processing line, which will bring to the increase of high quality clinker's output to 1000000 tons annually.
