Petersburg can be rightfully considered the home of the Russian science. The endless number of outstanding thinkers, representatives of science and culture, including Lomonosov, serves a perfect example.
Time flies fast. Generations succeed one another within one century. Nowadays both in Russia and Armenia we can meet more and more young people seized by the invincible desire to learn new things. We are happy to notice inside these youth the features of intellectuals of Petersburg and Armenia of the past years. The new generation excites envy: they are faced with the discovery of the Great World of Knowledge of the XXI century.
I am more than sure that an experienced and reliable "conductor" of Russian education in Armenia is the Yerevan branch of St. Petersburg Institute of Foreign Economic Relations, Economics and Law.

St. Petersburg, the city of Beauty and Courage, endowed us, Armenians, with its friendship, generosity, opened the gates to those who are the pride and fame of our nation: Aivazovsky, Saryan, Victor Hambartsumyan, Spendiarov, Aram Khachaturyan, brothers Orbeli, Minas…This list can be endlessly expanded including those who completed their education in St. Petersburg and for whom the northern capital served as a source for cultural and spiritual enrichment.
I have no doubt that the existence of the branch of such a prestigious institute in Armenia, which is St. Petersburg IFEREL, became possible only through victory of friendship of two nations, two cultures.
