UNIVERSITY OF INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC RELATIONS





The University of International Economic Relations (UIER) exists to teach students in the classroom, laboratory, seminar room and on the court. UIER, as all university, is committed to the principle that this education carried out in the context of the creation of new knowledge, and therefore UIER puts a premium on research and scholarship and on the professional and scholarly credentials of its faculty. Since 1993 UIER was a main executor of the Armenian US Economic scholarly exchange program (USARMX) funded from the USIA.
UIER accreditation:
UIER accredited by the Government of the Republic of Armenia (Certificate of the Accreditation in Law #16, August, 28; 2002, Accreditation in Finances #17, August, 28, 2002; Accreditation in Accountancy #18, August, 28, 2002; Accreditation of the UIER #19, August, 28, 2002).
Academic Programs:
UIER offers in 8 fields of study, and supports professional schools, the Graduate School and the College.
The Campuses:
Located at the Down Town of the city of Yerevan. The building has more than 1500 square meter.
Publishing Activity:
UIER got Copy Rights to translate and publish following fine titles: Dominic Salvatore "International economics"
In Russian. Published in 1998. Gregory Mankiw "Macroeconomic Theory" in Armenian, Published in 1997.
James Houck "Elements of agricultural Trade and Policy Analysis" In Russian. Published in 1998.

UIER research activity covers the following areas:
- Migration and Labor Market "International Migration and its Impact on Labor Market". Grant awarded by National Science Foundation of Switzerland
- Information Technologies: "Project for the Technology to Help Recording and Analysis of Retinal Function". Grant awarded from International Scientific Technology Center". Financing from Japan.
